A Constant Temperature Water Bath is a laboratory device used to maintain water at a fixed, controlled temperature for a long period of time. It is commonly used in chemistry, biology, and medical laboratories for experiments that require stable heating.

Description

A constant temperature water bath consists of a container filled with water and a heating system controlled by a thermostat. The thermostat keeps the water at a pre-set temperature, usually between room temperature and about 100 °C. Samples or test tubes are placed in the heated water so they can be warmed evenly and gently.

Working Principle

The heating element warms the water. The thermostat continuously monitors the temperature and switches the heater on or off to keep the water at the set temperature, ensuring stable conditions for experiments.
