We are manufacturing the the one of the popular Powder Sampler Dies mainly used in Pharma laboratories industry for testing & trial of drugs in powder form for Sampling Purpose. This Custom made sample design to accommodate powder up to 30 cc in volume. It is made with very sophisticated design as per technically proven by the industrial norms. Complete Powder Sampler will be made of 316 stainless steel. The different types of slotting provided in this sampler which will be made easy to take the sample in different slots in one time.

The stainless steel Powder Thief sampler is designed for fast sampling of granules and powders. A single body can accept a wide range of tip sizes from 20ml to 100ml. It is extensively used throughout the pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries around the world.

The PowderThief sampler is suitable for sampling free flowing powders and granules. Special tip volumes can be designed and manufactured when our standard stock sizes are not suitable.

The sampler is made from 316L stainless steel and has a PTFE (FDA compliant material) washer. This version is ideal for general purpose powder sampling with samples from 20 to 100ml.

SIMPLE OPERATION

The Powder Thief Sampler is easy to use. Simply push the sampler into the powder and push down on the handle to take the sample. The body can then be moved to close in the sampler. Remove the sampler and empty the tip.

1. NaCl (Sodium Chloride) Windows:

• Material: Sodium chloride (NaCl), a common salt.
• Transmission Range: 0.25 µm to 20 µm (2500 nm to 20000 nm) in the IR spectrum.
  • Transparent to a wide range of mid and far-infrared light.
• Optical Properties:
  • High Optical Clarity: Excellent transmission in the mid-IR region (especially between 500 and 4000 cm⁻¹).
  • Relatively Soft: NaCl is more prone to scratching and should be handled with care.
  • Hygroscopic: NaCl is sensitive to moisture and should be kept in a dry environment to prevent damage.
• Applications:
  • Used primarily in infrared spectroscopy for both solid and liquid sample analysis.
  • Common in transmission cells for IR spectroscopy.
• Cleaning: Cleaning NaCl windows can be difficult because they are water-soluble. Use dry, non-abrasive cloths and avoid exposing them to moisture or cleaning agents that might cause damage.
• Limitations:
  • Fragility: Prone to cracking if dropped.
  • Moisture Sensitivity: Becomes cloudy or opaque when exposed to humidity or water.

2. KBr (Potassium Bromide) Windows:

• Material: Potassium bromide (KBr), another alkali metal halide salt.
• Transmission Range: 0.4 µm to 20 µm (400 nm to 20000 nm).
  • KBr windows have slightly better transmission in the near-infrared (NIR) region compared to NaCl windows.
• Optical Properties:
  • Excellent Transmission: Very transparent across a wide range of infrared wavelengths.
  • Harder than NaCl: KBr is less likely to scratch and more durable.
  • Hygroscopic: Like NaCl, KBr is also sensitive to moisture and should be kept in dry conditions.
• Applications:
  • Used in FTIR spectroscopy (Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy).
  • Commonly used for analyzing gaseous and liquid samples in the infrared region.
• Cleaning: KBr windows should be cleaned in a similar manner to NaCl, using dry cloths. Avoid any water or solvents that can degrade the window's transparency.
• Limitations:
  • Like NaCl, KBr is hygroscopic, and exposure to moisture can damage the windows by clouding them or causing dissolution.

Comparison of NaCl and KBr Windows:

NaCl (Sodium Chloride) and KBr (Potassium Bromide) Windows are high-transmission optical components specifically designed for use in FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared) spectroscopy, gas cells, and other IR optical systems. Made from ultra-pure, single-crystal materials, these windows provide exceptional transmission in the mid-IR range, making them essential for both quantitative and qualitative analysis in laboratory and industrial environments.
