1. Material:

• Stainless Steel (SS):
  • Common grades used:
    • 304 Stainless Steel: General-purpose material with good corrosion resistance.
    • 316 Stainless Steel: Higher corrosion resistance, especially in more aggressive environments (e.g., acidic or saline conditions).
    • 316L Stainless Steel: Low-carbon version of 316, for applications requiring excellent corrosion resistance in highly corrosive environments.

• Corrosion Resistance: Stainless steel provides excellent resistance to corrosion, making it ideal for use in harsh chemical or wet environments.
• Strength: Stainless steel support screens are strong, offering high tensile strength and resistance to mechanical stress and abrasion.

• Mesh Type:
  • Plain Weave: The most common design, where the wires cross over and under each other in a simple pattern.
  • Twill Weave: Wires interlace over two wires before going under two wires, offering better filtration for finer particles.
  • Dutch Weave: A variation of the plain weave designed for filtering very fine particles. The wire diameter is typically larger than the opening size.
• Mesh Size: Available in various mesh sizes (e.g., 10 mesh, 40 mesh, 100 mesh, etc.), which determines the size of particles the screen can filter out.
• Hole Size: The actual size of openings depends on the chosen mesh, affecting the filtration level.
• Thickness of Wire: Stainless steel support screens are typically made with wire thickness ranging from 0.1 mm to 2 mm, depending on the application.
